Dato’ Dato’ David Gurupatham is the co-founder and Managing Partner of DGK. He was called to the bar in England and Wales as a Barrister in 1992 and has been in practice for 30 years. He has extensive experience in Dispute Resolution and Corporate Advisory Services and is a certified mediator. Dato’ Gurupatham regularly conducts International Arbitrations and is well versed in Arbitration Rules and Procedures and provides corporate advisory services, both locally and abroad. Dato’ Gurupatham has also actively participated in various committees of the Bar Council and State Bar Committees.

Koay Eng Hooi is the co-founder and Senior Partner of DGK. He is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya with over two decades of legal practice under his belt. Koay possesses vast experience in the specialised field of mining, complemented by extensive knowledge in the matters pertaining to banking and real estate laws. Koay is also actively involved in corporate advisory for institutions, both locally and abroad.

Chan Tuek Seng currently heads the Banking and Conveyancing department and is vastly experienced on banking and real estate matters, including professional advice on day-to-day operations. With a legal career spanning over 20 years, Chan attends to a wide range of clients, ranging from real estate developers to financial institutions and is particularly adept at providing practical and effective solutions for DGK’s clients.

Sabri graduated from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 2014. He has been part of DGK since 2015 as a paralegal while taking on the Certificate in Legal Practice course on a part-time basis. Sabri then continued his pupillage after the completion of CLP in 2016 and was then admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2017. Sabri specialises in the areas of banking, conveyancing and corporate transactions.

Chee Suwen started his career as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia. During the 1997 financial crisis, Chee headed to Hong Kong where he was engaged in an insolvency practice and was later appointed by a private fund to oversee its corporate affairs in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong and China. Chee was also previously a group director of corporate affairs and group secretary of government-linked companies in Malaysia.
